Vanessa and her life partner have four kids and live with their three younger kids – ages two, four, and 14 – in New York. In October 2020, the family had been isolating to protect the family, including kids with pre-asthma and their grandma who has COPD. Her partner is an essential worker and while the family is thankful he’s employed, finances are tighter than they were before the pandemic.
